Participating in the Arduino Love-O-Meter workshop was a hands-on introduction to creative hacking that blended technical learning with critical thinking about body data. Setting up the TMP36 temperature sensor, connecting LEDs, and experimenting with the provided code helped me familiarize myself with the Arduino environment—from downloading the IDE to debugging serial port connections. Though we faced small hurdles, like ensuring proper wiring and calibrating the temperature baseline, these challenges deepened my understanding of how digital systems translate physical body signals into measurable data. Exploring the Helix facility and learning about the Makerspace also opened up new possibilities for future creative projects.
